Job Information

The Director of Nursing assumes 24-hour administrative responsibility for the provision of care and services in accordance with professional standards of nursing practice, BVCHD mission and values, and regulatory guidelines.  Responsible for the development and coordination of all department operations to promote clinically effective and efficient patient care.  Assesses, plans, coordinates and evaluates the operational functions of nursing services to ensure quality, cost effective care is provided by an educated and competent staff. The Director develops and implements policies & procedures, oversees quality improvement processes, facilitates a patient centered care delivery model, and promotes an environment that encourages safety and best practices.  Provides leadership, guidance, and direction in achieving outcomes consistent with organizational mission, philosophy, goals and objectives. Maintains and demonstrates professional competency in the application of management principles.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Valid California Registered Nurse License
  • 2 years of previous experience in a SNF setting
  • 1 Year Management experience in the SNF setting
  • DSD certificate preferred or obtained within 6 months of hire
