Dear Big Bear Valley Community,
As the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Nursing Officer at our Healthcare District we would like to express to the Big Bear community that our entire team of medical professionals are preparing to proudly serve on the front line of COVID-19. We are honored to serve alongside the many highly skilled and trained physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists and technicians that we have at our hospital. Many of our staff have long histories in the healthcare field in trauma, emergency services, and intensive care.
As of our staff prepare to care for you in this time need, we would like to stress the importance of Governor Newsom’s order for all residents of California to stay at home. This order will be essential to protecting you, your families, our community, our patients, and our healthcare staff. The act of decreasing exposure and preventing the spread of COVID-19 has the potential to save many lives and preserve valuable healthcare resources.
While we are asking for all of you to please stay at home, we know that, as a community, are asking much more of our healthcare workers who cannot stay at home. We are depending on them to come to work each day in a time of uncertainty, to leave their families at home, and work tirelessly to care for our community. We know that our healthcare workers will answer that call and will be here to take care of you. Please take care of them too by personally doing what you can to stop the spread of this virus.
