Job Information


  • Formulates, develops and executes plans, policies and programs for the Respiratory Department
  • Coordinates, and integrates the work of the Department with other professional staff members
  • Insures that the department meets standards set forth by accrediting agencies
  • Coordinated home oxygen arrangements for patients
  • Manages Employee fit-testing annually
  • Manages outpatient EKG processes
  • Assures that the care, maintenance and disinfection of all Respiratory equipment is carried out
  • Monitors staff productivity in order to increase effectiveness
  • Prepares the annual budget for respiratory services and maintains control of expenditures
  • Directs or conducts employee, hiring, performance evaluations, training and in-service
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance with Blood Gas Laboratory
  • Participates in hospital committees
  • Manages compliance with regulatory guidelines
  • Evaluates current and potential services for opportunities for departmental growth


  • Licensed for California as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
  • Acute Respiratory experience
  • Knowledge of all Respiratory procedures and modalities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Previous experience as a Department Supervisor preferred
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work alone, multi-task, and work under pressure
