Under the direct supervision of the Radiology Director, the technologist performs Diagnostic Radiographic, CAT scan and/or Mammography with the least amount of radiation exposure to the patient and self. The technologist will assure patient well-being and care while in the Radiology Department. The technologist will be expected to perform other duties as assigned.
Satisfactory completion of an accredited program of Radiological Technology. Unlimited Certification by the California Department of Health Services is required. Certification by the American Registry of Radiological Technology (CT) (M) (R), CRT (Radiography and Fluoroscopy). Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a hospital based setting. Must have current BLS certification. Must pass Radiology Tech III, CT and Mammography technical proficiency evaluation. Must pass BVCHD Radiology Department equipment and procedure orientation. Ability to read, write and speak English. Excellent customer service skills required.
