Job Information

The Mammography Technologist, under the direct supervision of the Radiology Director, performs specialized examinations of the breast to help in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in women patients. Mammography Technologist may perform screening exams or diagnostic exams. Experience with Hologic Selenia Dimensions 3D is preferred. Instructs patients to undergo the appropriate positions to get accurate images. Perform high quality digital mammography exams on incoming patients, obtaining images for any areas requested by the physician or radiologist using radiation on the patient if necessary. Keeps track of patient records. Experience in daily QC as a Lead Mammographer is preferred. The technologist will be expected to perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

ARRT and CRT (Radiography, Fluoroscopy and Mammography). A minimum of two (2) plus years’ experience in Mammography.  Must pass BVCHD Radiology Department equipment and procedure orientation. Must have good communication, compassion, dexterity, and hand-eye coordination. Ability to read, write and speak English. Must be able to keep patient information confidential and discuss it only with other medical personnel who are involved in treating the patient.

Job Information

Under the direct supervision of the Radiology Director, performs diagnostic Ultrasound (US) examinations including Abdominal, Obstetrical, Gynecological, small parts, cranial, spinal, and external and endocavity procedures. Performs breast imaging as needed in diagnostic studies and biopsies. Aides with ultrasound guided procedures to include Para and Thoracentesis, biopsies of various parts. Provides and documents technical findings and preliminary observations within the scope of practice as set by department polices, ARDMS, and the ACR. Non-invasive Vascular Ultrasound: Performs non-invasive vascular examinations to include carotid duplex scans, arterial imaging and Doppler of the upper and lower extremities, abdominal vascular studies, and venous imaging and Doppler of the upper and lower extremities. Provides and documents technical findings and preliminary observations within the scope of practice set by the department policies, ARDMS and the ACR. Communicates effectively with ancillary areas and internal staff. Able to evaluate, coordinates, and executes responsibilities under pressure situations. Has the initiative to resolve customer problems by self, and involve supervisors as necessary. Provides professional and quality care to patients while following hospital policies, procedures and standards. Is responsible to take on call duty. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum two (2) years’ experience as an Ultrasound Technologist in a full service Diagnostic Imaging (Ultrasound) Department. Graduation from an approved school for Ultrasonography. Associate Degree required. Bachelor’s Degree in Ultrasonography, Healthcare Administration, Business or related field preferred. Computer skills for operating within RIS/HIS/PACS, medical terminology, and good communication skills. Ability to successfully complete job related communication and arithmetic. Current ARDMS and/or RVT certification required. Must have current BLS certification.

Job Information

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Diagnostic Services, performs diagnostic Ultrasound (US) examinations including OB/GYN as well as abdominal and vascular studies with a caring, professional attitude and attention to detail. Coordinates patient schedules and performs related clerical duties as needed. Is responsible to take on call duty. Prepares procedures for interpretation by obtaining correct patient histories and processing the images. Performs other related duties as deemed necessary by the Director of Diagnostic Services.

Qualifications

Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS) in abdominal, OB/GYN and/or vascular studies required within six months of hire. One year full time employment as an Ultrasound Technologist. Current CPR certification.
