California Society for Healthcare Engineering, Inc. Inland Chapter has a new Vice President

Bear Valley Community Healthcare District’s Director of Facilities, Michael Mursick named Vice President for California Society for Healthcare Engineering, Inc. Inland Chapter.

California Society for Healthcare Engineering, Inc. originated with a chapter in San Francisco which has founded in 1956. According to their website, CSHE currently has over 1,100 members with eleven chapters statewide. The California Society for Healthcare Engineering, Inc. (CSHE) is the California chapter of the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE). Membership is open to individuals actively employed directly in a healthcare facility or healthcare system or those who provide consultative, advisory, products or equipment to healthcare facilities.

Michael Mursick has been an active member for approximately two years. During that time he has attended monthly meetings put on by CSHE at various hospital locations through out the Inland Empire. The group provides educational presentations and open forums about current struggles or regulations that are important to various facilities. Michael Mursick was elected by his peers in December to serve as the Vice President for the CSHE Inland chapter.

Michael Mursick has been with BVCHD for approximately 3-years as our Director of Facilities. Prior to coming to BVCHD he had worked at Mitsubishi Cement for over 22 years.  Michael stated that he was not necessarily looking for a new job, but was looking for an opportunity for new growth and challenges when the BVCHD job opened up. Michael is looking forward to his new role with California Society for Healthcare Engineering, Inc. Inland Chapter, and BVCHD is very proud of his efforts and his representation of our facility.
